Razgulay Group has begun activity in 1992 with trade in a foodstuff and agricultural production in Russia and in Ukraine. Since 1995 the Group has started to invest in expansion of processing capacities, however trading operations made a considerable part of activity of Group.
Since 2000 the Group was focused on processing of production of agriculture. 2 branch subholdings – Grain and Sugar have been generated, active expansion of capacities was carried out.
From 2000 on 2006 the basic capacities of Group on processing of agricultural production which at the moment make have been generated:
Grain  – 22 enterprises, including:
• 12 elevators in capacity on 2,4 million storage tn the grain;
• 3 cereal factories capacity on 370 thousand processing tn grains in a year.
• 7 flour-grinding factories capacity on 750 thousand processing tn grains in a year;
Sugar  – 11 enterprises (10 sugar factories and
1 dairy-canning industrial complex)
• Processing of a sugar beet: capacities on 4 million processing tn beets in a year;
• sugar Processing – a raw: capacities on processing - 1,4 million tn sugar-raw in a year.
Since 2005 within the limits of strategy on a business diversification, and also with a view of creation of own raw-material base and strengthening of vertical integration, the Group has started to develop own cultivation of a sugar beet and rice-raw for their subsequent processing at the industrial enterprises of Grain and Sugar subholdings, and also cultivation of grain and olive cultures. In 2008 channelized it has been allocated in separate subholding “Razgulay – Agro” into which at the moment in enter more than 20 agroenterprises with cumulative ground fund of  over 460 thousand in hectare.
In 2009 the Group has continued formation of the vertically-integrated industrial chain – subholding “Razgulay – Market” in which frameworks distribution will be centralised is created.

At the end of 2010 The Board of members of Razgulay Group has adopted a new development strategy of the Group.
The key directions of the Group will be the production of sugar, rice, agricultural area, as well as dairy farming. Such a choice is due to the possibility to obtain maximum synergy: agricultural area will generate its own raw material bases for processing enterprises, dairy cattle, due to more efficient use of feed wedge rotation, will increase marginal income per 1 hectare of cultivated land. In addition, waste from sugar production will form part of forage for cattle.
Facilities for the production of sugar, in accordance with those plans, will reach 850 thousand tonnes of sugar a year. The volume of land fund will exceed 500 thousand hectares, providing, thus, 75% and 100% of raw materials demand for sugar and rice plants of the Company, respectively.

The priority areas of agricultural holding are Central Black Earth region, Krasnodar territory and Bashkortostan. Non-strategic assets will be sold at market price, it is planned to receive from the sale from 7 to 20 bn. rubles which will be invested into development of priority Group manufactures.
